How to Install a Spill Diaper: Orientation and Attachment Checks
Use the correct layer orientation and inspect all four built-in corner bungees before relying on the setup.
Open the mat, position it below the leak, secure its four corners and check the fit. The gray absorbent face points toward the fluid. The blue barrier faces down or outward.
Open and position the mat
Unfold the mat and check the binding, backing, four cords and hooks for damage. Place the absorbent face toward the leak before putting tension on the cords. Keep the useful receiving area beneath the expected drip path.
Attach the four corners
Connect each free-end hook to a suitable stable point. Keep the cords clear of tires, hot exhaust, sharp edges, moving components and recovery equipment. If a safe route is unavailable, change the position or select another control.
Check the fit after movement
Confirm that the mat stays beneath the source without dragging or interfering with the vehicle. Loading, turning and unloading can shift the drip path. Recheck the mat, attachment and available capacity, and tell the receiving person when the next inspection is due.
