Managing Vehicle Drips Around a Rollback Bed
Check the leak path and containment setup as the bed angle and vehicle position change.
The drip path can change as the rollback tilts, the vehicle climbs the deck and the bed returns flat. Inspect containment at those changes.
Before loading
Identify the likely drip path on the ground and tilted bed. Place compatible source and surface controls where needed. Keep mat cords clear of the wheel path, winch line, hinges and tie-down points.
At transport position
Once the vehicle is on the deck, check that the mat has not folded under a tire or caught on equipment. Recheck after tie-downs are fitted. A clear cord route during loading can become trapped when the bed is flat.
Before unloading
Inspect any fluid collected during travel. Prepare the receiving surface and recheck the path as the angle changes again. Transfer the leak information to the yard or repair facility.

Why does the drip path change on a rollback?

Should the rollback bed still use absorbent pads?
Pads can provide useful deck protection beneath the attached Spill Diaper and along the expected travel path, especially while the vehicle angle changes.
